Medical record and document review

- Screen or investigate cases for merit
- Summarize, translate, and interpret medical records
- Identify the strength and weakness of a case
- Define deviations from, and adherences to, the applicable standards of care
- Assess the alleged damages and/or injuries
- Identify factors that caused or contributed to the alleged damages and/or injuries
- Organize medical records and create chronologies to demonstrate a clear timeline of the
matter in question - Identify missing documentation
- Identify evidence of medical record tampering and missing documentation
Strengthen and provide support to the attorney-client and the case
- Conduct literature searches and integrate the literature and standards/guidelines into the case analysis
- Research and analyze the validity and reliability of the research studies relied on by all parties
- Identify types of testifying experts needed
- Coordinate and attend independent medical examinations (IMEs)
- Assist the attorney-client in developing case strategies
- Serve as a liaison between the attorney and healthcare providers, testifying experts, witnesses and other consultants
- Educate the attorneys and legal team about medical facts, issues, and terms in regards to
a particular case
Facilitate and enhance working with clients and witnesses
- Interview plaintiff and defense clients, key witnesses and experts
- Locate and interface with expert witnesses
- Analyze and compare expert witness reports and other work products
Assist with Discovery and Court Preparation
- Review, analyze, and summarize depositions, including past testimony
- Prepare interrogatories
- Assist in exhibit preparation
- Attend depositions, trials, arbitrations and mediations
- Help prepare witnesses and experts for deposition and trial
